PRO Organizational Development and Sustainability


Capacity to deliver on the above key results areas will depend, to a very great extent, on the capacity and sustainability of the organization. To realize this, PRO will make deliberate efforts to improve its performance and effectiveness.

This will be attained by undergoing regular self-assessment and organizational development processes. The organization will build a culture of learning and establish good working climate to maximize delivery potential of the priceless human resources. PRO will recruit and maintain qualified, experienced and competent personnel.

To mobilize financial and material resources, the organization will sharpen resource winning skills, devise and operationalize a comprehensive resource winning strategy. Deliberate efforts will be made to fundraise locally for long term institutional sustainability in addition to mobilize resources from other external donors and development partners. To inculcate adaptive management and institutional learning the organization will develop and maintain a user-friendly monitoring and evaluation system.

Despite a notable performance of PRO in development planning and facilitation, the organization has a number of areas where it is strong and some internal challenges that are worth addressing to enable it to scale up and maximize impact in its development interventions. Internal functioning of organization needs to be improved for its overall performance. PRO needs to improve on the following areas: governance, management, systems, external relation and institutional sustainability.
