Genesis of PRO

Our main goal is to protect Environment

Peace Relief Organization (PRO) is a Non-Governmental Organization, PRO was officially registered in 2011 as a Non-Governmental Organization with registration certificate 00NGO/00004425 under ACT, No. 24 of 2002.
Where it operates in Tanzania mainland, the head office is in Sumbawanga Municipal-Rukwa Region.
PRO aims at building a stable society of Tanzanians in rural and urban areas with more emphasis on Peace building to the vulnerable communities by addressing issues which affect Tanzanian local people in engaging on different programs such as GBV Women, Children protection, Disables, food security and nutrition, health especially (HIV/AIDS), Youth economic empowerment, C limate change and Good Governance.
PRO has proven there is a significant need for working with the vulnerable groups in the community working with LGA. PRO has been investing all efforts on serving marginalized communities.

Peace Relief Organization (PRO) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), non-profit making that works on serving different vulnerable groups in the society. PRO aims to have a stable society.

Mission

PRO's mission is to foster peace, provide humanitarian aid, and promote sustainable development in communities around the world. Our endeavors aim to uplift lives, protect the vulnerable, and create lasting positive change.

Vision

PRO's vision is a world where every individual has access to basic necessities, enjoys fundamental human rights, and lives in harmony with nature. Our aspiration is to create a global community where prosperity is shared, justice prevails, and nature thrives.

Core Values

PRO's values guide everything we do: integrity, compassion, sustainability, equality, and collaboration. We uphold these principles in our daily actions, decisions, and interactions, striving to make a positive impact on people and planet alike.

Objectives

1. For the purpose of promoting quality of life, establish and maintain inclusive vibrant community in development.

2. To establish a structural mechanism between a society and stakeholders to enable full inclusive participation in social and economic programs. Advocate on improving Health services, environmental compliance, accountability, justice, legal, and policy frameworks governing specific rights of women, children and people with Disabilities (PWDs).

3.To promote availability of food through improved production, productivity, competitiveness and improve the utilization of nutritious, and safe food for consumption.

MEMBERS

Members of Peace Relief Organization are the Highest Authority organ who makes a final decision in all matters concerning the running of Organization, through the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The chairperson of the AGM is a female and also member of PRO. The AGM, is the supreme organ of PRO with full mandates to, among others, elect BDs’ members; approve policies and plans of the organizations; approve any amendment of the MEMART (Constitution); providing strategic direction; and receive and adopt the audited financial statement report as well as appointing the auditor.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PRO’s BD is comprised of six (6) members; the secretary to the Board is also the Executive Director (ED) of the Organization this Board is the one who supervise the entire organization and all Staffs.
The main functions of the of the BD are provided include, determination of the organization’s mission; ensuring effective planning and implementation of the program; advising the management on fundraising strategies; ensuring presence of proper policies and sound financial systems; recruitment of the Executive Director of the organization; and ensuring legal and ethical integrity and maintain accountability. The Board also is responsible on assessing the general performance of the Executive Director.

MANAGEMENT

The Management Team (MT) is charges with the responsibility to design and implement programs, projects, plans and activities for the organization. This includes also monitoring and evaluation of the programmers and plans. In order to do this, the team is required to engage in resource mobilization from various credible sources.
Moreover, the MT is mandated to develop and maintain human and other resources for furtherance of the organization’s vision, mission and objectives, and staff led by the Executive Director.
The Executive Director is subjected to the Board is the one who reports to the Board the matters concerning governance, also the Executive Director is the one who maintains the good relationship with Development Partners.
The Executive Director also directs all staff and PRO’s objectives and activities are tallying with Vision and Mission of the Organization as set by the Board of Directors
